The Reading Cat

A Wicked Beginning: Book II in the Wicked Series

A Wicked Beginning - Calinda B. Did the book description relate to the story? Yes. Each of these books are part of series. I don't know how many books there are in the series but my book club members and I got to read the first three and it's been extremely fascinating. Her writing is sensual and eloquent at the same time.

How did you feel about the opening / ending sequences of the book? A Wicked Beginning - I liked opening more than the ending because I really wanted to know more about Cherie from the first book. In a A Wicked Whispering, I liked the ending better because there appeared to be some resolution amongst the characters and their dilemmas although Cassie's role seemed redundant or perhaps she wasn't given enough to do.

Who was your favourite character and why? I'm going to pick a favourite from the whole series. It'll have to be Cam. He seems a aloof and arrogant in so many ways and yet that bad boy image is pushed to the limits in Book 2.

What were the main relationships explored in this book? Sensual relationships. I think any and all kinds of sensuality were explored in A Wicked Beginning and Wicked Whispering. Strangely enough, the sensuality seemed to fit in with the characters and the story and did not pull you away from the main story.

Was this book worth reading? Yes, and I would recommend to anyone who like reading paranormal romance.

Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy fromthe author which did not affect my honest opinion.
